There are numerous DLC Packs available for SC5, but unless you are a collector you are probably wondering which packs are worth it and which packs are not. This guide will cover all available DLC, focusing on equipment only.
NOTE: Verdict legend is as follow: Worth It - definitely worth spending the money, Optional - the pack contain item(s) that can be useful, Skip - only get it if you have extra money.
NOTE: The review and verdict are biased toward creation of original characters and the part compatibility with other parts.
NOTE: Even though you're not planning to obtain any Cepheus Set items, I recommend you to at least download the free compatibility pack. This would make you able to see your opponent's complete outfit at online battles.

Dark Knight & White Knight
This pack is available via the Collector's Edition or the PSN Soulcalibur V Legendary Edition. Unlike SC4's Limited Edition DLC, you cannot obtain this from other region DLC (SC4 LE pack is obtainable from regular EU PSN Store). The Dark Knight set is mainly single-colored, save for a few additional spots such as the tiny round crystal and glove color. Unless you want to make a knock-off Sauron from Lord of the Rings, you will find few use of the Dark Knight Set. On the other hand, the White Knight set is dual-colored (base and lining) and the set itself looks great, especially the Arms and Greaves.

Customization Equipment
The Customization Equipment is the first DLC set available. You will need these to complete all pattern and stickers.
Female Pack - $1.99, 160MSP
This packs adds more decent female undergarment which SC5 lacks. The Amazon Undergarments is a decent metal underwear. The wings are hard to use, but they are amazingly detailed and with proper imagination, can look beautiful. This pack comes with additional face paints.

- Neck and Back: Butterfly Wings, Dragonfly Wings
A few decent collection of underwear for female.
The wings are detailed. Shame it takes the slot for neck item.
Beast Pack - $1.99, 160MSP
Both of the Isis equipment will make a good Egyptian theme, although Isis' Breastplate will decrease bust size. The Oiran kimono is also a nice addition to otherwise generic kimono design. The beast heads are detailed, but looks dead, and by dead I mean taxidermy-dead. This pack comes with additional face paints.

Trendy Pack - $1.99, 160MSP
Other than the big skull sticker you can get, the equipment provided is not worth it. The Thigh High (Ripped) is not even an ankle item. This pack comes with additional face paints, patterns and a sticker.

Classic Headgear 1 - $1.99, 160MSP
Nothing really worth the price, unless you want to recreate SC2 Nightmare.

SCV Character Equipment 1 - $1.99, 160MSP
The Ruffian Trousers comes with shoes, thus you cannot use any Feet item with it. The Absolution Body Togi cannot be used with any undergarments, also it will increase bust size like a push-up bra. Oathbearer's Raiment will conflict with many neck item and cannot be used with any Upper Body Covering. The Soothsayer Hose comes with stocking and garter belt, and cannot be used with any Ankle item.

The maid items provided are quality items. This set is more expensive than normal, but you can use them with other equipment, except armors. The French Maid Dress comes with choker and will greatly increase bust size. The Lace Knee-highs comes with stocking.

Active Wear 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
The items look too modern, although you might have some use out of the swimsuit. The Gym Shorts conflict with some skirt item. The Gym Shirt can have polygon glitch if the character have big bust.

The amusement level depends on how you like bloomers and schoolgirl in swimsuit.
Cepheus Set 2
Ancient Armor 1 - $1.99, 160MSP
These items do not behave like what you expect from an armor set. The Plate is an Upper Body item, making you unable to use Upper body covering item. The Greaves are a Lower Body item and comes with the fauld. The Gauntlets comes with the pauldrons. To mix these parts with other armor is hard, but the design is nice.
VERDICT: OPTIONAL

There's no difference between male and female set. Female set even flattens the bust.
Modern Costumes 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
The ribbon scarf looks good, but it is actually too big and needlessly floats. Both Upper Body items are single piece. The Cadet Blouse comes with a dog tag.

Flight attendant and WW2 cadet uniform already exist in 1607. Awesome.
Tekken Costumes 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
These outfits are meant to be equipped as a set, thus they conflict a lot with other items. King and Jin's Lower Body items cannot be equipped with any feet item. Jin's Gauntlet come with the tattoo. Xiaoyu's set is probably the worthwhile part of all, but its black lining and the lotus image cannot be recolored. Panda Head looks dead.

Miscellaneous Equipment 1 - $0.99, 80MSP
This pack contains special items, but they are far from being worthwhile. The Klonoa and Pac-Man "key chain" are actually as big as bag packs and cannot be recolored. The Shoulder Kitty is cute, but looks dead. Only the Strange Ward is interesting, but even that has no animation, so it is like a steel sheet. Almost all items can only be equipped at Special 1 slot.

The headgears provided have limited use. You might want it for Aeon's Head, which does not animate and looks dead.

These items behave exactly like the Ancient Armor 1. You can make a generic Samurai with it, and nothing else.

Modern Costumes 2 - $1.99, 160MSP
I have no idea how to utilize this one. The overalls aren't even sexy and cannot be used with many undergarments. The firefighter gear is for lulz.

I like firefighters, but not in Soulcalibur. Overalls need to me more flexible than that.
Cepheus Set 4
Hairstyles 1 - $1.99, 160MSP
For a three item pack, this one is surely expensive. However, it could be useful if you like the hairstyle.

Skeleton Costumes 1 - $0.99, 80MSP
The Skeleton Costume can conflict with some Lower Body item, but is nothing major. You can utilize this sinister-looking skeleton in almost any way you like it. And yes, this equipment is available to both male and female.

SCV Character Equipment 2 - $1.99, 160MSP
All items in this set behaves normally, which was a relief considering the 2 previous abnormal armor set. Note that all the special items can only be equipped at Special 1 slot. Most of the items here have no major problem, except Aristocrat Catsuit and Seeker's Suit, which can only be equipped as-is.

The Swimsuit (Name Tag) is the same Swimsuit, only with a chest name tag you cannot utilize. The big Championship Belt might be something you want if you going to make a Shocker Sentouin (LMGTFY Link).

Cepheus Set 5
Valkyrie Armor 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
This outfit would be great if it did not come with some ridiculous bits. The Cuirass is an Upper Body item, comes with a choker, and has uncolorable small white wings. The Fauld conflicts with almost all neck item, and have uncolorable white part. The Greaves have some uncolorable linings. The Helm clips with most hairstyle, which is weird since Siren Helm does not.
VERDICT: OPTIONAL

Sexy Costumes 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
I personally like this set because the Nurse's Boots have thick wedges and the Cowgirl Skirt is the only short tight skirt available, otherwise both Upper Body items are another conflict fest. The Nurse Boots comes with stocking and conflicts with ankle item. It would be nice if the Cowgirl Vest have a separate undergarment too.

Cepheus Set 6
Music Festival 1 - $0.99, 80MSP
The Powdered Wig is unusually a head item, well considering it is a wig that Gregorian/Victorian use, I think that makes sense. The Swallowtail Suit looks great at first glance, but it has weird bits. First of all it can make your character's hip look big. Second, it reduces bust size. Third, if you adjust your character's Chest size, rather than the bust that get bigger, your character's lower ribs get bigger instead, creating a deformed look. The suit can still work for male characters, though, but I think you want a unisex item to work for both gender.

Bridal Costumes 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
I personally consider this set worthy because of the Bridal Short, which is the only panties available to female character. The Tuxedo Jacket and Pants is nothing special. Tuxedo Shoes adds a decent shoe to male character. The Bridal Dress is beautiful, but it does not look good for character with big bust. The Tiara is another Special 1 item only.

Tekken Costumes 2 - $1.99, 160MSP
Contains Jun and Asuka's outfit. It is unfortunate that Asuka's Top is a fixed short top, outer jacket and hotpants. Jun's Top somehow has a property that makes breasts of any size look inflamed. Jun's Cape somehow conflicts with most of Upper Body item. There's not much use to these items.

This set is not as worthy as the Sexy Costumes 1. The Police Miniskirt is actually a top item and comes with the blazer and badge. The male Latex set is, without doubt, a tribute costume to Razor Ramon Hard Gay.

Classic Outfits 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
Expensive set, but I think is worthwhile because of the Bong-seon Underwear, Boots, as well as Kitty Sash and Choker. The only problem is the Kitty Sash is bulky compared to the SC4 counterpart, and Kitty Tunic is an underwear item.

The items have great details and not a low-resolution like its SC4 version.
Cepheus Set 8
Modern Costumes 3 - $1.99, 160MSP
Another Modern Costume "wonder". At least they are far better than the previous one. Denim set has detailed patterns, which is nice. Denim Jacket will make your character appear bigger in all dimension, which means, character with big bust would look really ridiculous. The Jeans clips with many feet item. The male version of Tennis Cap and Shoes are Mega man-sized. Worst of all, no Tennis Miniskirt, so these parts would add another T-Shirt and shorts primitive to your library.
VERDICT: SKIP

- Upper Body: Denim Jacket, Denim Vest, Tennis Jacket
- Lower Body: Jeans, Tennis Pants
- Feet: Tennis Shoes
The denim set would make you look like mechanics at best.
Male set have Mega man-sized Cap and Shoes. Female ones are normal, somehow.
Ancient Armor 2 - $1.99, 160MSP
These items look plain at best. The Corinthian helm will make you BALD. The Bronze Armor is an Upper Body item, which means a conflict fest with every Waist item. The Bronze Armbands are actually bandage and looks pretty badass. The Plume is another Special 1 only item. It's big and I personally use it to make horse hair for my Trojans.

Yeah, plain.
School Uniforms 1 - $1.99, 160MSP
For such a relatively low price, this set contains several outfits that you can use to make Japanese-style school outfits. Male exclusive items are Banchou outfit, while female items are Sailor outfit. The Student slacks comes with a textured belt which lacks details. The Sailor Shirt is superior than its SC4 counterpart - it is fluid and behave like a garment. The only minor problem it has is that it clips with non-standard underwear such as the Bikinis. The Blazer looks good too, but Girl's blazer somehow lowers the breast line. The Duffel Bag is almost pointless, unless you want to make a hiker or something.

Blazers look good on male characters. On female characters, not so good.

Dark Warrior Armor 1 - $2.99, 240MSP
I think this set is intended to be a counterpart for female-only Valkyrie Armor. However, this set has major problems. First of all, the Cuirass is an Upper Body item, so you know the drill: conflict fest. The Gauntlets cannot be used with any shoulder item. Furthermore, the Faulds conflicts with EVERY, yes, EVERY Upper Body Covering items. This means you can only use this set as a whole. On the plus side, the set looks great and is heavily detailed. Get if you like the whole design. Otherwise, don't bother.
