This will list the requirements to get the characters 4th weapon as well as strategy if one is needed.

• The difficulty must be set to Hard.
• In cases where sub officers are involved if you defeat the main officer, but still manage to defeat the sub officer who is nearby before they retreat it will still meet the requirement.
• If using 2 players as long as one player meets the requirements the weapon will appear.
• The weapon can have either no element or one of the following below.
• Unlike later games only specific attacks with the 4th weapon will have elemental activation.

Icon	Element	Effect

Shu Weapons

Zhao Yun

Weapon Name: Fierce Dragon
Element: Activates on C5-1 (SSSST) & last hit of C6 (SSSSST(*T))
Stats: Base Attack 43, Musou Max +80, HP Max +74, Attack +25, Defense +52
Stage: The Battle of Chang Ban (Liu Bei's Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Xiahou Dun, Zhang Liao & Zhang He and active the Defend Liu Bei event.
Supply Unit: Western Gate Captain by Zhang He's starting location that makes its way to the Northeast before leaving.

The Defend Liu Bei event has a limited time frame in which it can be activated, it starts from when Cao Cao's main forces arrive up until Liu Bei meets with Liu Qi at the shore. You simply need to be riding a horse in Liu Bei's vicinity (mounting one near him counts) for the event. Due to where the Supply Unit appears it is recommend to defeat Zhang He after the event not before.

Guan Yu

Weapon Name: Blue Moon Dragon
Element: Activates on C5-2 (SSSSTT)
Stats: Base Attack 49, HP Max +87, Attack +28, Defense +59, Musou Charge +25
Stage: Guan Yu's Escape (Guan Yu's Forces)
Requirement: Clear the 4th gate.
Supply Unit: By the 5th gate that makes its way to the South before leaving.

Zhang Fei

Weapon Name: Viper Blade
Element: None
Stats: Base Attack 47, Attack +29, Defense +58, Mounted Attack +56, Mounted Defense +57, Musou Charge +24
Stage: The Battle of Chang Ban (Liu Bei's Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Xiahou Dun & Xiahou Yuan and activate Zhang Fei's Bridge Yell event.
Supply Unit: Left Gate captain near Xu Zhu's starting position that will make its way North before leaving.

The Bridge Yell event is really the only tough part for this 4th weapon as you will need to be on the bridge on the East side of the map to activate the event. At the start defeat Zhang Liao and Xiahou Dun to give the center some breathing space, then take one of their horses and ride up to Xiahou Yuan and defeat him, if you were quick enough Cao Cao's main force should arrive after you beat Yuan which would happen 5 minutes into the stage. Make your way back to the bridge on the East and wait for Zhang Fei's Bridge Yell event. Do not kill the Gate Captains in the Northeast area otherwise it will be very hard to get the Bridge Yell event to occur.

Zhuge Liang

Weapon Name: Peacock Feather
Element: Activates on C5-1 (SSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 40, Speed +22, Jump +22, Defense +55, Bow Defense +55, Mounted Defense +55
Stage: The Battle at Wu Zhang Plains (Shu Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Cao Xiu.
Precious item: East of Shu's Main Camp.

Cao Xiu appears as reinforcements after Sun Li has been defeated or 13 minutes have passed.

Liu Bei

Weapon Name: Gold Moon Dragon
Element: None
Stats: Base Attack 40, Speed +20, Musou Max +70, Mounted Attack +44, Mounted Defense +52, Luck +22
Stage: The Battle at Yi Ling (Shu Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Sun Shang Xiang.
Precious Item: West of the lower Gate Captain by Sun Quan.

This is one of the hardest weapons to get solo since things can go bad very fast in Shu's version of Yi Ling. If you can defeat Lu Meng before Lu Xun orders Zhu Ran to burn the Shu camp and prevent the fire attack from Zhu Ran you will not have to worry about facing the entire Wu army by yourself.

Ma Chao

Weapon Name: Steel Dragon
Element: Activates on C6 (SSSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 42, Jump +21, Mounted Attack +60, Mounted Defense +60, Reach +21
Stage: The Battle at Tong Gate (Allied Forces)
Requirement: Have Han Sui defect to Cao Caos side.
Supply Unit: South of the Northern Bridge that makes its way to the Northeast before leaving.

Make your way to Cao Cao when you get the chance to trigger an event which should cause Cao Cao to travel West to the Northwestern section of the map after Xu Huang's unit arrives. Ma Chao will ask Han Sui, Yang Qiu & Li Kan to help which will cause them to go North, stay by Han Sui until he meets Cao Cao. Afterward an event should trigger of a soldier telling Ma Chao about Han Sui meeting Cao Cao, then wait for Han Sui to defect.

Do not defeat all 3 officers in front of Tong Gate (Xiahou Yuan, Cao Ren & Cao Hong) because if Pang De or Ma Dai attack Cao Cao he won't move to the West, also the Supply Unit may not appear immediately so you may have to wait for it.

Huang Zhong

Weapon Name: Oracle Sword
Element: None

Requirement: Defeat Xiahou Shang.
Precious Item: West of the Northern Gate Captain.

Xiahou Shang starts close to where you are, a crate near the gate has an Imperial Seal for you to use to your advantage.

Jiang Wei

Weapon Name: Blink
Element: Activates on C6 (SSSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 41, Musou Max +74, Attack +23, Luck +25

Requirement: Defeat Zhen Ji & Cao Zhen in 5 minutes.
Supply Unit: Right Gate Captain near Sima Yi that makes its way to the Northwestern Gate Captain before leaving.

Wei Yan

Weapon Name: Double Comet
Element: Activates on C5-1 (SSSST) & last hit of the full C6 chain (SSSSSTTTT)

Requirement: Save Ma Su, defeat all officers and enter Sima Yi's camp.

Requirement: Defeat Hu Che Er.
Supply Unit: East of Hu Che Er's starting location that makes its way to the Gate Captain South of Jia Xu before leaving.

Xu Zhu

Weapon Name: Stone Crusher

Stats: Base Attack 50, Musou Max +88, HP Max +86, Attack +28, Defense +58, Luck +27
Stage: The Battle at Tong Gate (Cao Cao's Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Pang De & Ma Dai then pass through Tong Gate.
Precious Item: Southeast section of the fort on Ma Chao's side.

If doing this with 2 players it doesn't matter who kills Pang De or Ma Dai, but the one using Xu Zhu must pass through Tong Gate.

Cao Cao

Weapon Name: Wrath of Heaven
Element: Activates on all hits of the C6 chain (SSSSSTTTTT)
Stats: Base Attack 45, Attack +24, Bow Attack +52, Mounted Attack +48, Reach +24
Stage: The Yellow Turban Rebellion (Han Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Zhang Bao & Zhang Liang without any Gate Captains lost on both sides.
Supply Unit: Northwest Gate Captain that makes its way to the center Gate Captain in the North before leaving.

It is recommended to defeat Zhang Liang last since the Supply Unit appears closer to his side.

Xiahou Yuan

Weapon Name: Demon Fang
Element: Activates on C5-1 (SSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 45, Musou Max +84, HP Max +78, Bow Attack +58, Bow Defense +59
Stage: The Battle of Mt. Ding Jun (Wei Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Huang Zhong after his charging event.
Precious Item: Northwest corner from where Huang Zhong starts.

Huang Zhong has 2 events that need to happen for you to get this weapon, the first being when he shoots an arrow and the second being him charging forward on horseback. If you are playing with events off wait until his morale increases twice.

Zhang Liao

Weapon Name: Dragon Breath
Element: None

Requirement: Defeat Zhou Tai.
Precious Item: North of the Broken Bridge.

Sima Yi

Weapon Name: Dark Feather
Element: Activates on C4 (SSST)
Stats: Base Attack 40, Attack +28, Bow Attack +50, Mounted Attack +55, Reach +29, Musou Charge +26
Stage: The Battle at Wu Zhang Plains (Wei Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Zhang Bao within 20 minutes, a supply unit will appear near the enemy Gate Captains on the bottom right when 20 minutes have passed, defeat it.
Precious item: Corner near the enemy Gate Captains on the bottom right.

You can spend extra time killing off enemy officers while you wait for the supply unit to appear, they don't have the weapon, but will trigger the message for it.

Xu Huang

Weapon Name: Marauder
Element: None
Stats: Base Attack 46, Speed +21, Musou Max +82, Attack +24, Luck +24, Reach +22
Stage: The Battle at Fan Castle (Wei Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Guan Ping before the flood attack.
Precious Item: Close to the Northeast corner on the ground level, missable when the flood occurs.

The flood attack occurs 5 minutes into the stage.

Zhang He

Weapon Name: Peacock Talon
Element: Activates on both hits of C6 (SSSSSTT)
Stats: Base Attack 43, Jump +23, Attack +24, Reach +27, Musou Charge +29
Stage: The Battle at Guan Du (Cao Cao's Forces)
Requirement: Find and burn Wu Chao supply depot with Yan Liang & Wen Chou still alive.
Precious Item: Northwest from the bridge near the Northwestern outer wall of Cao Cao's castle.

The location of Wu Chao is randomly picked from the 4 forts on the map.

Zhen Ji

Weapon Name: Dark Moon Flute
Element: None
Stats: Base Attack 37, Speed +23, Defense +52, Bow Attack +50, Mounted Attack +50, Reach +25
Stage: The Battle of Jie Ting (Wei Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Jiang Wei.
Precious Item: Near the right Gate Captain by Zhuge Liang.

Jiang Wei starts slightly behind Ma Chao, make sure to defeat Jiang Wei first as he is Ma Chao's sub officer.

Wu Weapons

Zhou Yu

Weapon Name: Ancients Sword
Element: Activates on C2 (ST) & C5-1 (SSSST)

Stage: The Battle at Chi Bi (Sun Quan's Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Xiahou Dun & Xu Huang/Zhang He.
Precious Item: South of Cao Cao's starting location.

Depending on whose story you are playing you either have Xu Huang or Zhang He on the eastern side.

Lu Xun

Weapon Name: Falcon
Element: Activates on C4 (SSST)
Stats: Base Attack 42, Speed +22, Musou Max +75, Defense +43, Reach +29
Stage: The Battle at Yi Ling (Wu Forces)
Requirement: With Lu Meng or Gan Ning alive clear the Stone Warrior Formation and defeat Zhuge Liang.
Precious Item: Upper right portion of the Stone Warrior Formation.

Defeat Wei Yan to keep Lu Meng alive you shouldn't need to worry afterward, though if you help Zhu Ran get his Fire Attack off this becomes a cake walk to get. You can cheat clearing the Stone Warrior Formation by entering the Northern portion and going around to the Western portion.

Taishi Ci

Weapon Name: Tiger Slayer
Element: Activates on C4 (SSST) & C5-2 (SSSSTT)
Stats: Base Attack 45, HP Max +81, Attack +26, Bow Attack +55, Mounted Attack +51
Stage: Assault on the Wu Territory (Allied Forces)
Requirement: Defeat all officers except Sun Ce.
Precious Item: By the top center Gate Captain.

All sub officers under Zhou Yu must be defeated before him.

Requirement: Defeat Guan Yu, Zhang Fei & Liu Bei.
Supply Unit: Northeast Gate Captain that makes its way to the center Western Gate Captain.

Dong Zhuo

Weapon Name: Grand Star

Stage: The Battle at Hu Lao Gate (Dong Zhuo's Forces)
Requirement: Wait for Diao Chan to defect to the Allied side and defeat her.
Precious Item: Gate Captain North of Hua Xiong's starting location.

For Diao Chan to defect the only officers that must be alive are her and Lu Bu, stay by her until every other officer is defeated then defeat her when she defects.

Yuan Shao

Weapon Name: Grand Master
Element: None

Stage: The Battle at Guan Du (Yuan Shao's Forces)
Requirement: Keep Wen Chou alive for 10 minutes.
Supply Unit: North of the Southern fort that makes its way to the Southeast Gate Captain before leaving.

Keeping Wen Chou alive is pretty easy, you will want to defeat Guan Yu first as if he meets Wen Chou he will instantly kill him. Afterward if you defeat Xiahou Dun & Xu Huang he should have no trouble staying alive.

Zhang Jiao

Weapon Name: Volcano Staff
Element: Activates on C5-1 (SSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 37, Musou Max +72, Attack +43, Reach +27
Stage: The Yellow Turban Rebellion (Yellow Turbans)
Requirement: Defeat Liu Bei, Sun Jian or Cao Cao including all of their sub officers.
Precious Item: Right of the river leaving the North of the Castle.

You simply need to choose between the three officers and defeat all of their sub officers before them.

Meng Huo

Weapon Name: King of Beasts
Element: Activates on C6 (SSSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 48, HP Max +88, Attack +27, Mounted Attack +54, Mounted Defense +54
Stage: The Nanman Campaign (Nanman Forces Forces)
Requirement: Defeat Ma Chao, Zhang Yi and Ma Dai or defeat Zhang Fei, Zhang Bao, and Guan Xing.
Precious Item: Near the Gate Captain on the left in the center of the map.

You simply need to choose between either the left or right side of the map to defend.

Zhu Rong

Weapon Name: Magma Wheel
Element: Activates on C4 (SSST) & C5-1 (SSSST)
Stats: Base Attack 42, Musou Max +72, Defense +52, Bow Defense +52, Reach +26
Stage: The Nanman Campaign (Nanman Forces Forces)
Requirement: Keep Dong Tu Ne & Ahui Nan alive for 15 minutes.
Precious Item: Near the Southern bridge.

You won't have to worry about Dong Tu Ne as no one will likely go for him, you will want to rush to help Ahui Nan though.

Fu Xi

Weapon Name: Fu Xi's Sword
