One of only two original male characters made for the Soulcalibur universe, he was intended to be a one-time character as Yukino's love interest who saved her and believed her story. I intended to give him a Prince Charming type of feel to his look even though the Warriors games have gotten his hair correct. Later down the line I felt Mil Mayron needed more characters to have positive interactions with since she was mainly a solo character at that point.

In original planning I couldn't decide who would get Cloak or Dark Knight Cape between him and Ra. I had them battle in Battle Theater to decide, the winner would get Cloak.

Valiant King

I originally made him in SC4, but dropped it as it didn't look very king like in design. He's not supposed to have a weapon since they were lost along with his castle at this point in the story.

Costume 1 ~ Fearless Soul

I wanted to keep him in a noble like look while adding bits to give him a warrior feel.

Costume 2 ~ Warrior Spirit

A more casual look for him while still keeping a warrior look to him.

Costume 3 ~ Persistent Prince (Legacy)

A definable Noble look was hard to do in SC3 so I went to recreated a better version of his look as a Prince.

Costume 4 ~ X-Change

A little joke sparked this, Tenji joked about what if before he was going to finish Jehova off for good she used her magic to turn Alphonse into a woman. I was originally not wanting to do this, but from telling Perse I went ahead with it.

I usually don't make the outfit he wears during his time as a military commander so I decided to take a crack at it here.

Originally the female version of Alphonse was created in 7:E, but I decided not to submit it since I was already done with my characters back then. The Japanese 8:E demo was where I decided to make the female version originally before transferring it to SW4.

Since Yukino got the Short Yukata I figured that Alphonse should get one of the summer outfits, I chose the Jinbei since the Yukata didn't look right with the Twin Swords.
